Telehealth Visits in Spring Valley, CA

Video visits with Dr. Woo-Ming for people anywhere in California. Same testing-first approach, same care team, without the drive to Campo Road.

Book a Free Consultation

Some weeks the drive to Spring Valley is the hardest part of taking care of yourself. Telehealth at SD Weight Loss Center puts the visit on your screen instead: a scheduled video call with Michael Woo-Ming, MD, MPH, for new and existing patients who live anywhere in California.

What a telehealth visit looks like

You book a time, we send a private video link by text or email, and at the appointment you open it on a phone, tablet or computer. The visit runs the way an in-clinic visit does: history, goals, questions, and a plan you review together before anything starts. First visits usually take 30 to 45 minutes; follow-ups are shorter.

There is no consultation fee for the first conversation, no contract and no start-up fee. You leave the call knowing what we recommend and what it costs, then decide.

What we can do by video

What still happens in the clinic

Anything that needs hands: in-office injections, PRP and PRF, microneedling, Botox and Dysport, laser hair removal and any exam Dr. Woo-Ming decides should be done in person. Blood work is drawn at the clinic or at a lab near you; we send the order, you pick the location. Many people mix the two: labs and the occasional in-person check at 9735 Campo Road, everything else by video.

How testing works when you are not in the room

We still test first. After your consultation, Dr. Woo-Ming orders the panel that fits your case, such as metabolic markers, thyroid, A1c and insulin, lipids, vitamin D, and hormone levels for men and women. You have it drawn at the clinic or at a lab close to home, the results come back to us, and the next video visit is the review. Nothing is prescribed from a questionnaire.

Who telehealth is for

  • Anyone in California who cannot get to Spring Valley easily, from North County to the desert to the Bay Area.
  • Existing patients who want follow-ups between in-person visits without taking half a day off.
  • Shift workers, parents and caregivers who need a 20-minute window, not a 2-hour errand.
  • People who want a physician to read their labs before committing to a program anywhere.

Telehealth visits are available to California residents. If you are outside California, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Before your first video visit

Have a quiet spot and a charged device with a camera. Keep any recent lab results, your medication list and your questions nearby. If you have a scale and a blood-pressure cuff at home, that helps; if not, we work with what you have. Five minutes before the appointment, open the link we sent and we will take it from there.

Ready to start? Request a visit or call (619) 465-4982 and ask for a telehealth appointment. Same clinic, same doctor, from wherever you are in California.

Questions people askBefore you decide.

Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, call and ask.

Do I need to come in first?

Not for a consultation. New patients can start by video; Dr. Woo-Ming will tell you if anything in your case needs an in-person exam before treatment begins.

How do labs work if I live far away?

We send a lab order to a location near you, you get the blood draw there, and the results come back to us for review at your next video visit. You can also come to the clinic for the draw.

Which services are not available by telehealth?

Anything done in the office: injections given by our staff, PRP and PRF, microneedling, Botox and Dysport, laser treatments and hands-on exams. Everything around them, from consultations to follow-ups, can happen by video.

Is a telehealth visit private?

Yes. Visits run on a private video link sent to you before the appointment, and your records are handled the same way as an in-clinic visit.

What does it cost?

The first consultation is free, in the clinic or by video. Program and treatment costs are explained on the call before you decide, with no contracts and no start-up fees.
